In Cry Wolf, several high school seniors at exclusive Westlake prep school find themselves tangled in a web of lies. After one town resident is murdered, new student Owen (Julian Morris) is convinced by his new friends to join their "liar's club" which uses email and the internet to spread lies and rumors throughout the community for fun and excitement. The idea is to avoid suspicion and manipulate other people. They create a serial killer named "The Wolf", blame the initial murder on him, and purport to name his next victims and the motivations for his further killings. However, when their predictions suddenly come true. Owen and his friends Dodger (Lindy Booth) and Tom (Jared Padlecki), are unsure where to turn as their friends start dying and no one will believe them, even when they start try telling the truth.
