The story focuses on Psych student Julia Lund (Laura Regan). She meets with a childhood friend, Billy Parks (Jo Abrahams). All of this brings back he horrible memories of the night terrors she and Billy suffered as children. She meets Billy’s roommates, Sam (Ethan Embry) and Terry (Dagmara Dominczyk). They do not accept any logical explanations for Billy's behavior. Soon, they find out that their night terrors were real and marked them as a child. Now, the terrible creatures in the dark are coming after them and picking them off one by one.
