Oskar (Kåre Hedebrant), a 12 years old boy, is abused by his colleagues every day. He becomes lonely, occupying his leisure time with reading and cutting up articles about crime from the newspapers. One evening, being alone outside he imagines how he stabs his colleagues. But when he turns around behind him he notices a girl his age, watching him. Oskar and Eli (Lina Leandersson) are starting to getting to know each other, but she keeps a secret for herself. Eli is a vampire and she has just moved with an older man who takes care of her in the same building Oskar lives. He kills people for the girl, collecting the blood in a vessel so that the "disease" doesn’t spread. When the old man begins to crack, leading him to fail a couple of times, the girl has to survive on her own. Now she has to choose between her life and being friends with Oskar.
