Alan Jensen (Adrian Grenier) is a promising young student and athlete at the esteemed, Harvard University in Boston. He excels greatly as the star point guard on Harvard’s surprising basketball team and dates the voluptuous cheerleader, Cindy (Sarah Michelle Gellar). As goes well for Alan until he begins to gamble on sporting events, something he is able to do through mob connections established with Cindy’s father. He becomes more and more dependent on them that he must now try to alter his own school’s basketball games as to earn money for the mob. While Alan faces pressure from his girlfriend and her criminal cohorts to go through with it, he also is under the constant surveillance of a federal agent who believes he can use Alan to convict the mob.
