An anthology film based on 1950's horror comics. There are several segments to the film. "Father's Day" were a father returns from the grave to punish his family. "The Crate" where a mysterious blood-thirsty creature enables a gruesome revenge. "The Lonseome Death of Jordy Verrill" with unstoppable alien plants. "Something to Tide You Over" a revenge plot on the beach. "They're Creeping Up On You" where a high-rise has an infestation of unfortunate levels. Segments directed by Stephen King and George Romero using heavy doses of irony and dark humor along with the monsters. Stars include Hal Holbrook, Adrienne Barbeau, Leslie Nielsen, E. G. Marshall and Ed Harris.
