A trail of love at Christmas. Starting and finishing at Heathrow airport, Love Actually traces the emotional highs and lows of a wide spectrum of folk, from the prime minister and his aid (Hugh Grant) to an aging rock star (Bill Nighy) yearning after a Christmas number one. Weddings, foreign travel and nativity plays create the scenarios for breakups and make-ups. Colin Firth’s character goes to France to finish his book but finds his Portuguese housekeeper much more captivating. Two body double find romance whilst intertwined in nude scenes and Colin (Kris Marshall) discovers the power of the English accent.
