When a bus breaks down on a lonely road, passengers disperse, leaving in different directions on foot. A few remain with the bus. A woman named Stacia (Fairuza Balk) starts hoofing toward a distant motel, and a few others hop on a truck driven by Jim Wheeler (Michael Moriarty), going in the opposite direction. A hiker named Walker (Warren Kole) comes upon those who remain in the bus, awaiting rescue. Those passenger who went with the trucker find themselves soon dead, and so do those who are with the bus. Unfortunately for Stacia, there are now two psychopathic killers on the road, the trucker and the walker. And both have eyes for her as the coda to their killing sprees may end at the motel.
